SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS WORKSHOP

October 2016

Whilst interning in Brazil with Flavia Amadeu, a designer and social entrepreneur, Polly ran a workshop exploring the value in waste materials and finding applications for their use. Participants ranged from illustrators to jewellery designers and a children’s hospital art therapist.

LS:N GLOBAL 2016

September 2016

Polly’s Maize material was picked to be one of 5 materials exhibited and discussed by Seetal Solanki on the LS:N Global network evening in 2016. LS:N Global is an insights platform that analyses consumer behaviour and key industry trends that support business professionals in making ‘future proof’ decisions. The evening was focused on sustainable alternatives to traditional and often scarce materials.

Selected as one of the Top 12 sustainable thinkers of 2016, Polly’s Maize Matter project was recognised by WGSN, a leading worldwide trend forecaster.
